Bulb Planting - October 2012

On Saturday 27th October, members from Tutbury Civic Society and the Tutbury in Bloom Team, with other willing volunteers, all joined forces to plant daffodil bulbs in the area of Burton Street and the roundabout at the top of Tutbury by-pass.

The hard work involved should ensure that this gateway to Tutbury will be much enhanced and all those who took part hope that all who see this part of the village next spring appreciate the effort that has gone into making a lovely display.

The volunteers were all kitted out in High-viz-Vests, courtesy of the Tutbury in Bloom Team who were successful in getting a WASP Grant for these important garments.

In glorious sunshine the volunteers managed to plant 50 kilos of daffodils which included Ice Follies and Red Devon.
