2013 Activities

12th Burton 1st Tutbury Scouts have taken part in the first Scout Community Week.

As part of the community projects on Thursday 6th June the Scouts helped the Tutbury in Bloom Team with tidying up the flower beds in Holts Lane. B&Q have also been helping with sponsoring the Community Week and volunteers from the local store took part in the tidy up and also brought plants with them.

The tidy up was extremely successful and the whole area is now looking very pristine after the efforts of the 30 plus volunteers.

The litter pick which took place on Saturday 8th June took place in bright sunshine. Beavers with their parents and In Bloom Team Members, numbering 15, all met on Duke Street Car park and spent the next hour tidying up the village.

An hour later the village looked much better and both Beavers and parents said how much they enjoyed it.
